"Wir waren auf der Durchreise und auf der Suche nach einem gemütlichen Wirtshaus. Das Essen war bodenständig und vollkommen lecker. Wir hatten Käsespätzle und ein Cordon Bleu. Beides war auf den Punkt. Die Wartezeit war, trotz einer Busgruppe, kurz und auch um unsere Tochter wurde sich gekümmert. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen."

"Liebes Ochsen-Team, wir haben unsere Hochzeit mit 100 Gästen bei euch im Schafstall gefeiert. Das Essen war sehr gut. Das haben auch alle unsere Gäste bestätigt. Auf unsere Wünsche (komplett vegan) wurde extrem flexibel reagiert. Vielen Dank für das tolle Catering!"

"wonderful old fashioned restaurant which belongs to the museum. simple menu, nothing fancy, but very friendly service! just worth going for the old time atmosphere, very cozy! just remember, the opening hours correspond to those of the adjacent museum, so check the Freilichtmuseum Neuhausen website for opening hours before planning a visit! but there is NO ticket required to enter the restaurant Neu: Jetzt mit dem ABSOLUT BESTEN WURSTSALAT der Region, kein Witz!!"

"Wir haben den „neuen“ Ochsen zwischen am Sonntag den 28.12.2025 ausprobiert: einfach top! Das Essen war hervorragend: gegrillte Dorade mit gegrilltes Gemüse, Fitnessteller, gegrillte Garnelle mit Tomatensauce und Feta. Nachtische und das Espresso genauso lecker: genialer Pistazien Eisbecher Weihnachtslinsertorte… Da kommen wir bald wieder :-) Tolle urige Stimmung mit Holzhofen."
